Way too early, dear mom

Dear mom,
You always wanted the best for everyone around you, but you forgot about yourself. Your love for your children and family knew no bounds, but unfortunately, a demon possessed you. Against all odds, you managed to fight it and break free from alcohol. But sadly, it was too late. I will never forget the hours before you left. It was simply dreadful. To stand at 25 and lose a part of the foundation one has as a human being was, to put it mildly, heartbreaking.

Today, memories of our dances, our hugs, and your lively spirit stand strongest. Yes, the illness will always be a part of the story, but over the years, I've found peace with it. And especially seeing my sister help so many others in similar situations, gives it a bit more meaning...

Dear mom - I know there's a party where you are now, and I hope you can keep an eye on your grandchildren's lives... and your children's... <3

You had to close down your business, the one you'd had for so many years, and a part of your identity took a hit..

The fighting spirit

You wouldn't give up, so you started a new business. You were actually ahead of your time and faced tough conditions

The really tough years

The illness took more and more control, and the years leading up to your passing were a nightmare. But in the end, you found peace <3
